Virginia Baker Jackson Christmas letter 1967

The Harold Jacksons
P.O. Box 67
Running Springs, California
92382

As '67 draws to a close
I, once agian, revert to prose
To greet you, one and all, with cheer
Recalling memories of this year
And happenings to those most dear...

Harold and his partner, Bob Parker, opened their real estate office early in 1967 in the Del Rosa area of San Bernardino. They now have eleven salesmen and bright hopes for the future.
Virginia finds herself bewildered once more by the complexities of a teen-ager. I am now the shortest member of the clan. I have moved into a new and more comfortable office in the school district and have an efficient helper to ease the work load. Extra activities include night school classes in chorus and speed reading, both very rewarding.
Carol & Dick have moved to Lone Pine, California where Dick continues as Sherrif's Deputy. Carol is still doing part-time nursing. Cheri is 5 now and fascinated with kindergarten. Beth is a little bunde of 2 1/2 year old energy.
Judy & Rip are still in Ontario. We have seen them quite often recently as Rip has painted the exterior of our house this summer ande fall in his spare time. Kevin was 1 in July and Kurtis (new addition) was born December 3 - pretty clever planning on our part -- 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
Shirley finishes her 2 year hitch in gthe Air Corps (nurses) in February. Her base has been in Fort Worth, and we have seen her several times. Her plans for the near future are uncertain at the moment. If she rejoins, she could go to Germany.
Dennis nearly 14 now is gradually becoming aware to the advantages of education and improvement (signs of maturity!). He spent part of the summer with Shirly and came back several inches taller and with a changed voice. She entertained him royally.
